The point system is how you compete in Loosh Lurkers. Win battles to steal points from opponents and climb the leaderboard.
Point System
Starting Points
Every new Lurker begins with 1,000 points.
Earning Points
Win battles to steal points from your opponents:

| Win a battle | +15 to +50 (stolen from opponent) |
| Lose a battle | -15 to -50 (stolen by opponent) |
Points are transferred, not created. When you win, your opponent loses the same amount you gain.
Point Transfer
The exact amount transferred is random between 15-50 points per battle:
Winner gains: Random(15-50) points
Loser loses: Same amount
Example:
- You have 1,000 points
- Opponent has 800 points
- You win, transfer is 37 points
- You now have 1,037 points
- Opponent now has 763 points
Leaderboard
The leaderboard shows the top 20 players ranked by total points.

Real-Time Updates
The leaderboard updates instantly when:
- You win or lose a battle
- Anyone wins or loses a battle
- A player's pet dies (they're removed)
Competitive Strategy
Maximizing Point Gains
- Keep stats high. Higher power means better win chance.
- Battle frequently. More battles means more chances to win.
- Choose opponents wisely. Lower power targets are easier wins.
- Don't die. Death resets your points to 0 (on new pet: 1,000).
Risk vs Reward

The point transfer is the same regardless of opponent strength, so targeting weaker opponents is generally smarter.
Death Wipes Progress
Remember: if your Lurker dies, you lose ALL points. When you mint a new pet, you start over at 1,000 points.

Seasonal Rewards
In future phases, top leaderboard players will earn $LOOSH rewards:

How the Reward Pool Works (Future)
When token costs are enabled:
- 50% of all $LOOSH spent is burned
- 50% of all $LOOSH spent goes to reward pool
- Pool distributed to top players each season

Seasonal rewards with $LOOSH distribution are planned for a future update. For now, compete for leaderboard glory!
Current Rewards
Right now, the rewards are:
- Leaderboard position for bragging rights as a top player
- Points accumulation to build your score
- Survival to keep your pet alive while others die
Tips for Success
For Competitive Players
- Max all stats before every battle
- Battle immediately when cooldown ends
- Target opponents with lower power
- Never let hunger drop below 50%
For Casual Players
- Focus on keeping your pet alive
- Battle when convenient
- Even a few wins per day can climb ranks
- Check in at least every 2 days
The biggest threat to your points isn't losing battles. It's death. Keep your Lurker fed and you'll always have a chance to climb back up.
